京都大学入試問題ネット投稿事件の和文英訳に関する考察

京都大学の入試問題がYahoo!知恵袋に試験時間内に投稿された上に速攻で回答され、さらに試験時間内に投稿者(というより今後は犯人と呼ぶべきか)からお礼のコメントまで書き込まれた事件は、今後の各種の入試の運営に少なからぬ影響を与えるのだろう。Yahoo!知恵袋といえば自分自身で質問を書き込んだことこそないものの、大学のレポート問題などで困っているときに類似の質問が見つかることが数回あり、個人的にはありがたかったが、これをよく思っていない教師も少なからず居るものと思う。特に小学生のころからちょっとわからなければ質問サイトに頼るというクセがつけば、教育上よろしくないのは明らかだ。しかし、今後の子供はこういうサービスを当然のものとして育っていくのであろうし、中にはこの手のサービスとうまく付き合っていく子供も居るだろう。いずれにせよ今回の事件は、質問サイトと学生の正しい関係についてよく考えるまたとない機会となるに違いない…

2月27日の読売新聞朝刊には件の質問と回答のスクリーンキャプチャーが張られていた。
見た瞬間思ったのは「こんなんで合格がもらえるだろうか？」だ。あきらかに翻訳サービスっぽい。
以下、ちょっと調べてみた結果と、思ったことについて。ちょっと検索した上では見つからなかったが、おそらく俺と同様の考察はもはやとっくの昔にいろんな人がやっていると思うけど。

やはり現時点では、正しい答えを導き出せるのはコンピュータではなく人間であるといえるだろう。しかしYahoo!知恵袋は「本当に知っている人から見れば多少間違ってるような答えでも、なんとなく正解っぽい回答をすればポイントがもらえる」「とにかく早く回答すればポイントがもらえる」というような風潮があるような気がする。このへんもYahoo!知恵袋のような質問サイトを長続きさせたいならば今後是正していくべき点であると思われる。
いずれにせよ、こんなお粗末な答えでは、「犯人」は不正行為が発覚しなかったとしても不合格だったと思う。
